One former Edmonton Oilers forward will be out of commission for a long time.

EDMONTON -- Injury comes for every hockey player.

Right now, the Edmonton Oilers are bitten by the injury bug. Evander Kane has been out since the summer, while Zach Hyman and Viktor Arvidsson will be out until at least the end of next week.
However, a former Oilers forward will be on the shelf for longer than that.
The Newly minted Seattle Kraken captain, Jordan Eberle, will be out for three months. The reason? He is recovering from surgery on his pelvis.
The Kraken's statement yesterday on X reads, "Earlier today, Seattle Kraken captain Jordan Eberle underwent successful surgery on his pelvis. His expected recovery timeline is at least three months."
The key phrase that I picked up on is "at least" three months. So, it sounds like three months is the minimum time he would be out. Three months from now will take us to February 23rd.
Currently, the Kraken have a 9-9-1 record, which is good for 19 points. They are two points out of the last Wild Card position in the Western Conference.

Eberle currently has 11 points in 17 games played. He's been averaging 15:51 of ice time this season.
Both the Kraken and Oilers are in action on Saturday night. The Kraken will go into the Los Angeles Kings barn and try to pull out a win. The Oilers defend home ice against the New York Rangers. Puck drop for the Oilers game will be just after 8:00 P.M. Mountain Time.
