Last night's Edmonton Oilers game against the Seattle Kraken was entertaining to say the least. While the team didn't play their best hockey through the first 40 minutes, they stormed back in the third period to tie the game. They would win 4-3 in overtime.
Evander Kane and Zach Hyman. The game seemed just out of reach for the Oilers - until Evander Kane put his stamp on the game. He spearheaded a comeback by recording a natural hat trick. Before that, things almost went bad in a hurry.
While under duress, Vincent Desharnais passed the pick behind him. He was attempting to send it over to his defense partner - Brett Kulak. Instead, he dinged the puck off the post, almost scoring on his own net.
That certainly would have taken the wind out of their sails. Luckily, it was a harmless play that resulted in nothing of consequence.
