One Edmonton Oilers forward was moved out of the top six group at practice today.

Can Connor Brown play the whole season with Connor McDavid?

The Edmonton Oilers are having their first practice since losing on Saturday night. After Saturday's loss they are now 0-2 to kick off the year - a less than ideal scenario.

With the desire high to right the ship, the Oilers have made a few changes to the forward group. The defense pairings from last game remain intact.

Connor Brown has been moved off of Connor McDavid's line in practice this morning. Instead, Brown found himself on the third line with Ryan McLeod and Dylan Holloway.

Warren Foegele has been elevated to the second line - where he will play with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zach Hyman.

This kind of reaction isn't entirely surprising, given the fan uproar that has erupted following their second loss in a row.

If this had happened at any other point in the season, there might not be as big of a deal made of it. That is not a luxury the Oilers have right now.

As part of the line shuffle Leon Draisaitl finds himself on McDavid's wing - which doesn't bode well for the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.
