Kris Knoblauch praised the young Edmonton Oilers prospect on his performance alongside Leon Draisaitl.
EDMONTON -- That was a night to forget.
The Edmonton Oilers played split-squad games against the Calgary Flames. The Oilers lost both games in an ugly fashion. They dropped a 6-3 decision at home, while the team they sent to Calgary lost 6-1.
Kris Knoblauch coached the team that played at home. After the game, he spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the team's performance.
"I thought we had the puck more (than the Flames); we just made more mistakes. Turning over the puck, leading to odd-man rushes for them. There was too many mistakes that you can't have later on in the year in the regular season."
For many of these players, it was their first game situation since the beginning of training camp. For Raphael Lavoie, it was his second game in as many nights.

"A lot of good shots. He could have had a couple goals. Their goalie made some really key saves on him. Two games where he's been involved in the offense and been making some plays."
"I thought he played really well."
Lavoie has one goal on 11 shots so far this pre-season. He fired seven shots on goal last night, the most of anyone from either team.
The Oilers are back in action tomorrow night, on the road against the Winnipeg Jets.
