The Edmonton Oilers have loaned a player to their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors.
The Edmonton Oilers have really come together as a group since Kris Knoblauch was hired as head coach. They are the only team to have both an eight-game and six-game winning streak in the 2023-24 season.
Edmonton Oilers are rolling again.Connor McDavid is doing Connor McDavid things while the depth has been stepping up and pitching in. Warren Foegele, Ryan McLeod and Darnell Nurse have been producing points.
The predictability of their defensive play has led to Stuart Skinner looking more like a legitimate number one goalie by the day.
In this embarrassment of riches also lies some (potentially) tough decisions. Sam Gagner and Dylan Holloway have been injured for a bit, and now there is some news regarding one of those players.
Holloway has been removed off of long-term injured reserve and will be joining the Bakersfield Condors. This is a great way to get him back up to playing speed after missing some time.
Dylan Holloway.I fully expect him to return to the third line for the Oilers once he's back in the NHL. If he can find some chemistry centering Evander Kane and Connor Brown, the Oilers could have three very dangerous lines to roll out every game.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, let's wait for him to get up to speed.
