The Edmonton Oilers forward is on pace for a career-best season in a contract year.

The Edmonton Oilers will be harder on themselves than the media and fans are on them.

The Edmonton Oilers are officially on a roll. They closed out the 2023 calendar year with five straight wins. For the month of December they only lost three out of 12 games.

As a group they have come together and are playing great hockey. The new second line of Leon Draisaitl, Ryan McLeod and Warren Foegele are finding chemistry and producing well together.

Foegele has produced seven points while on this new line - five came in his last game.

With 19 points in 34 games, he's producing at a 0.56 points per game rate. That would have him produce 46 points in 82 games - which would be a new career high.

The most Foegele has accumulated in a season was back in 2019-20 when he had 30 points in 68 games. Even if he cools off and doesn't produce at the same rate, he should still break his points record.

He has a very sustainable 8.8 shooting percentage (S%) this year. His career average is 9.9, so it's possible he could heat up even more than he has already.
