The Edmonton Oilers need to give the starter of last game another kick at the can tomorrow night.
With the Edmonton Oilers looking to bounce back from their first game blow-out at the hands of the Vancouver Canucks - there is a very clear choice for who should start Saturday night's rematch.
Both goalies allowed four goals against. Both goalies had the same number of saves. Both goalies can do (and will do) better in their next outing. But only one can start the next game.
Stuart Skinner and Jack Campbell.Jack Campbell started last game, and should start in the rematch on Saturday. If everyone else in front of him plays better, it will pay massive dividends. Not every goal that went past him was his fault. Should your goalie be able to bail you out? Absolutely. Should the defense and forwards be able to bail their goalie out? Also yes.
With the stellar pre-season performance that Campbell had after a sub-par year- it's time to give him a chance to prove that he's regained his form.
