The Edmonton Oilers are going into a five day break on a four-game winning streak. Their next game is at home against the Carolina Hurricanes on December 6th.
In the meantime, there are rumblings that the Oilers could recall Jack Campbell to see if he's ready to play in the NHL again. This would be premature and shortsighted. I would personally wait until he has put together at least 10 good games in a row.

Reported yesterday was the fact that three members of the Oilers organization were scouting the Columbus Blue Jackets vs Montreal Canadiens game.
One potential trade piece has been officially crossed off the board as of this morning. Sam Montembeault has signed an extension with the Montreal Canadiens.
Montembeault has now signed an extension with a $3.15-million three-year contract.
It's not common practice to sign a player and then trade him soon after... but stranger things have happened.
Time will tell what happens (if anything) on the trade front for the Oilers.
