Jack Campbell has had a pretty rough start to the 2023-24 regular season. First he only played five NHL games before being sent down to the Bakersfield Condors - the Edmonton Oilers AHL affiliate.

In those five NHL games he had one win, a 4.50 goal against average (GAA) to go with a .871 save percentage (SV%). For the Condors he's played five games as well, winning only one. He's had slightly better numbers with a 3.22 GAA and a .884 SV%.
It feels like a sick game of Jekyl and Hyde - because Campbell was lights out in the pre-season. He played in three games in the pre-season to the tune of two wins, 1.00 GAA and a .971 SV%.

Last night Elliotte Friedman reported on Saturday Headlines that Campbell was granted permission to have someone come in and work with him for a few days, Manny Legace.
That name should look familiar, as Legace is a former Detroit Red Wing goalie. Additionally he is a former Columbus Blue Jackets goalie coach. Legace worked with Campbell over the summer.

If Legace helps Campbell regain their mojo, have the Oilers found their new goalie coach? Campbell came into camp ready to bounce back, but struggled as the whole team struggled.
We wait and see how Campbell progresses over the coming days.
