For the sake of the long term Oilers goaltending situation more changes need to happen.

The Edmonton Oilers have had issues maintaining good goaltending. This season their goalies have been the worst in the NHL when saving high danger chances.

Earlier today Jack Campbell was put on waivers. If he clears he will report to the Bakersfield Condors. The Oilers are expected to make a corresponding move - either call up a goalie or trade for one.

Another thing that must be done is Ken Holland needs to replace the goalie coach. Not that long ago I wasn't convinced that a change was needed there. After further digging I am ready to say that I was wrong and yes, they do need a new goalie coach.

Here's a Twitter thread that goes through each goalie under Schwartz and what their performance was before, during and after their Oilers tenure. Only one goalie didn't get worse with Schwartz coaching them: Mike Smith.

For the Oilers goaltending to get better in the long term, another move must be made. If Holland values his job (and the Oilers season) Schwartz should be on the next bus out of Edmonton.
