The Edmonton Oilers had a better effort level even if they didn't get a better result.

Edmonton Oilers look to bounce back from their embarrassing Game 1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

The Edmonton Oilers are starting the season the way no one thought they would, 0-2. 

The Oilers came out of the gate flying and were a completely different team than the one we saw on Wednesday.

The powerplay was buzzing, creating chances and scoring two goals on seven opportunities. 

Despite allowing four goals on 16 shots against, Stuart Skinner looked good in net. With two goals scored via tip-in and one on a 2-0 rush, those three goals are tough to blame solely on the goalie.

A few minor lapses led to goals for the Vancouver Canucks. On the whole, the response for this team was what was needed.

They just need to get the W in the next game.
