Here are the line combinations and starting goalie for the Oilers vs San Jose Sharks.

Edmonton Oilers will see Mattias Ekholm return to the lineup. Expected to be paired with Evan Bouchard.

The Edmonton Oilers play their first game since tempers flared in their latest loss against the Vancouver Canucks. The San Jose Sharks just earned their first win of the season against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Tonight's Oilers vs Sharks game will be a battle of the basement. The Oilers are ranked 31st in the NHL, with the Sharks ranked 32nd. If the Sharks win in regulation tonight, they will be tied in the standings with the Oilers.

Calvin Pickard has joined the team, and was seen at morning skate. The lines from practice yesterday remain.

Stuart Skinner is in the starter's net at practice this morning. It will be his eighth game played tonight. He has a 3.99 goals against average and a .856 save percentage on the season.

The Oilers should come out with gusto tonight - but the deciding factor will be playing consistently over the full 60 minutes.
