The Edmonton Oilers lost to the Winnipeg Jets by a 3-2 score in overtime. It was a game where they controlled the flow of the game for good stretches, and played to their system.
But individual mistakes cost them the game.
The Oilers dropped to a 1-3-1 record. But to add insult to (literal) injury, the Oilers best player was injured in last night's game.
Connor McDavid sustained an injury. McDavid was seen grabbing at his glute and/or upper thigh area on his last full shift. Jay Woodcroft had no update for the press during his availability last night.
Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid."It appeared to be muscular," was the one detail that we did receive from Woodcroft about McDavid.
This would be a good sign, and would mean McDavid would miss one or two games rather than weeks or months.
We'll have to wait for an official update to figure out what's going on.
