Connor McDavid has interesting reaction to a reporter's question.

Paul Coffey has been hired as the new defense coach for the Edmonton Oilers under Kris Knoblauch.

The Edmonton Oilers stopped their losing streak dead in its tracks. With a decisive 6-3 win over the New Jersey Devils, the team sets its sights on the New York Rangers tonight.

Connor McDavid.Connor McDavid.

They came out to a 2-0 lead by 5:24 of the first period. The Devil's stormed back with three of their own over the rest of the first period and all of the second to take a 3-2 lead.

All bets were off in the third, as the Oilers rallied for four unanswered goals. They had five different goal scorers last night, with Ryan McLeod earning himself a two goal night.

One of those goal scorers was Connor McDavid. He scored a great goal, displaying patience in spades. That wasn't the most notable moment involving the Oilers captain however - that came in the post game availability.

You can see the very subtle change in McDavid's facial expressions when the reporter says the phrase "comparisons to Wayne Gretzky". McDavid isn't an incredible expressive person, so any changes in expression are worth noting.

Additionally, if the reporter had phrased this question differently it might not have illicited the same response. Regardless of the question asked, McDavid holds Gretzky in such high regard that he reacts this way to almost anyone being compared to The Great One.
