Stuart Skinner was on the top of his game against the Seattle Kraken.

EDMONTON -- Make it three games in a row where the Edmonton Oilers have allowed two goals or less.

Last night the Oilers were the better team as they edged the Seattle Kraken 2-1 in a hard fought win. Leon Draisaitl tallied a goal and an assist on Brett Kulak's game winner.

They biggest reason for the win has to be the play of the Oilers starting goalie - Stuart Skinner.

Skinner stopped 24 of 25 shots for his 28th win of the season - one shy of tying his total from last year. Despite the low shot count, Skinner was busy all night and made key saves in key moments to ensure that the Oilers walked away with a win.

He stood tall in the final minute of the game securing the win.

This was clearly an important moment of the game - but Skinner was ready to go from the first puck drop of the game. He had a few fantastic stops, and chief among them was this one:

Jordan Eberle had a sneaky backhand shot denied by Skinner. This was one of three registered shots that Eberle had in 20:53 of ice time - the second most he's played in a game all season.

    Stuart Skinner.

In all three games that Eberle played against the Oilers this season he was shut out and managed to record two assists. Unless they make the playoffs, that is more than likely the last time Eberle will get a chance to score against his former team this year.
