A former Edmonton Oiler scored a highlight reel goal for his new team this week.

The Edmonton Oilers will be harder on themselves than the media and fans are on them.

The Seattle Kraken might as well call themselves the "Edmonton Oilers south" - due to the volume of former Oilers currently on their roster.

Kailer Yamamoto.Kailer Yamamoto.

Jordan Eberle and Adam Larsson have been on the team since the expansion draft. They have acquired three more ex-Oilers since then: Devin Shore, Kailer Yamamoto and Justin Schultz.

It's not surprising to have a former Oiler score for the Kraken - it's more surprising who and how this player scored.

Shore knocks the puck out of mid-air and makes a quick move to get the puck past the Carolina Hurricanes netminder.

I think many Kraken fans are surprised at the hand-eye coordination displayed here by Shore. Frankly, Oilers fans are surprised too.
