"Was that 250 or 251?" Edmonton Oilers Kris Knoblauch Compliments Player's Surprising Shooting Ability

Edmonton Oilers forward receives uplifting compliments from his head coach.

To quote former Edmonton Oilers head coach, "we aren't in the moral victory business" but there were some positive takeaways to draw out of yesterday's 6-4 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

One of which was the offence. According to MoneyPuck.com they generated 4.5 expected goals. Meaning, because of the location, shot type and quality of shots they had they could expect to score 4.5 goals during the game.

Another positive from yesterday's game was that three of the four goals came from the bottom six forwards. Derek Ryan scored two goals while James Hamblin scored his first career NHL goal.

When talking about Hamblin's play head coach Kris Knoblauch had this to say:

"He's playing so hard. He's doing all the little things." Knoblauch added, "I said to him on the bench, was that 250 or 251? Just the quality of shots looked like he did it all the time."

With the goal meaning so much to Hamblin - because he dedicated it to his late mother, Gina - this is one goal Hamblin is never going to forget.
