A staple of the Edmonton Oilers bottom six just scored his first goal of the season against the Winnipeg Jets.
The Edmonton Oilers just won their fourth game in a row. They defeated the Winnipeg Jets by a 3-1 score.
Until the last seven minutes of the third period it was a goaltending clinic put on by Stuart Skinner and Connor Hellebuyck. In the end, Skinner prevailed.
The Oilers poured it on late. In the process, they got goals from Darnell Nurse, Zach Hyman and Ryan McLeod.
This was McLeod's first goal of the season. Even though it was an empty netter, it's good for his confidence to get one on the board. He had a goal and an assist in 13:32 of ice time tonight.
The Oilers kept the Jets to just 26 shots on goal - the fifth consecutive game where their opponents fired less than 30 shots.
The Oilers have a five day break before their next game. They are next in action against the Carolina Hurricanes at home on December 6th.
