Former Edmonton Oilers forward signs a one-year deal with rival Pacific Division team.

The Edmonton Oilers made several signings yesterday to shore up their depth in the NHL and the AHL. Connor Brown, Drake Caggiula, and Lane Pederson all signed with the Oilers yesterday. They also agreed to terms with Ben Gleason and Noel Hoefenmayer.

Yesterday Ken Holland told the media that he'd be open to signing Kailer Yamamoto to a low-cost deal. Yamamoto was a beloved teammate and it's always tough to let go of those players, regardless of the reasons why they departed.

Yamamoto has officially signed with the Seattle Kraken on a one-year deal with a $1.5-million cap hit.

With this deal in the books it doesn't look like Holland's openness to a deal wasn't reciprocated by Yamamoto and his representation.
