

The Edmonton Oilers start playing regular season hockey in a week. They open their season with a home-and-home against the Vancouver Canucks. October 11th they play in Vancouver, returning to play in Edmonton on Saturday the 14th.
On October 29th they play the Heritage Classic game against the Calgary Flames, in Edmonton. Both teams will wear special jerseys to commemorate the occasion. But that's not the only thing special about the event.
Connor McDavid. Just announced this morning, Nickelback will be performing at the game. They will perform during the second intermission. The band hails from Hanna, Alberta and was recently inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
