The Edmonton Oilers cut three players from main camp this afternoon.
The Edmonton Oilers announced another round of cuts from main camp today. Chief among them is Xavier Bourgault, the top scorer from last night's game against the Seattle Kraken.

Seth Griffith and James Hamblin were placed on waivers. Should they clear, they will report to Bakersfield.
With only two games remaining in the pre-season these cuts aren't surprising. However, Bourgault is certainly staking his claim as the top offensive forward prospect the Oilers have.
His two goals last night were the only points he had in four pre-season games. He averaged 12:33 of time on ice for those games.
The Oilers next game is against the Calgary Flames tomorrow. They will close out the pre-season on Friday against the Kraken.
