Edmonton Oilers are scheduled to have a press conference to address new hire.

The Edmonton Oilers have already taken care of most of their off-season checklist. They cleared up cap space by sending Kailer Yamamoto and Klim Kostin to the Detroit Red Wings. They signed Connor Brown and some other depth players to fill out some organizational needs. Most recently they signed Ryan McLeod to a two-year contract. The major personnel move left for then is to sign Evan Bouchard.

Today the organization has announced that Jeff Jackson has been named CEO of Hockey Operations. Jackson has been Connor McDavid's agent since entering the NHL. According to the Oilers' press release, McDavid will continue to be represented by Wasserman Hockey. Judd Moldaver will be McDavid's new agent.

Ken Holland will remain as the General Manager and President of Hockey Operations. Ryan Rishaug has reported that Bob Nicholson will remain with the team as a special advisor for the Hockey Operations side of the organization. There will be a media availability at 2pm mountain time today with Holland and Jackson.
