The results of the fan poll are in - Edmonton Oilers fans wanted another player to be replaced in the off-season.
The Edmonton Oilers are gearing up for their first pre-season game on September 24th. Captain skates have been occurring for just under two weeks and main camp will begin this week. Connor McDavid and company are eager to get the season into full swing.

There is a segment of the fan base that believes Ken Holland has unfinished business with the Oilers. According to a Twitter poll that I conducted, 34.8% wish that the team had replaced Cody Ceci.
Only 46 votes were calculated in this poll. The second highest option was wishing Holland had kept Klim Kostin at 30.4% of the votes. Third highest was to replace Jack Campbell with that option receiving 28.3% of votes.

The irony of course, is that according to the defensive metrics that I was looking at for a prior article - Ceci did better than Brett Kulak at several little things.

While it's too late to start the season with a replacement, it isn't out of the realm of possibility to see a roster defencemen dealt at the Trade Deadline for a defensive upgrade. Until then, expect the Oilers roster to remain fairly consistent.
