On the first episode of Striking Oil, we dive into why the Edmonton Oilers will be a harder team to play against this year.

The Edmonton Oilers are committed to winning the Stanley Cup. This means doing everything they can to improve their team - on and off the ice.

In the first episode of the brand new Striking Oil Podcast, I dissect a few items related to the Oilers defense and goaltending.

Mattias Ekholm, Evan Bouchard & Leon Draisaitl.

Jack Campbell is primed to take the starters net from Stuart Skinner. The new pairings and defense systems will help the goaltending out, by easing the workload of the goalies. Additionally, Evan Bouchard's offense should explode this season - similar to a recent Norris Trophy winner.

Watch the video below to hear my thoughts on all that and more.
