Why pick him? Sprynar is a toolsy player with a lot of potential. He has a good frame and good puck skills.
Jan Sprynar.Who are the other options? Luca Cagnoni and Jordan Tournigny are both projected to be selected after him. They would both be fantastic "boom-or-bust" type players. If Koehn Ziemmer falls to 56, I could see the Oilers taking a swing on him.
What else is on the agenda? The Oilers must move out cap space this summer. That will come by way of a buy out or several trades. They want to add to their top-six forward group and their top-4 defence corps.
