No one has determined that they are officially out of the he running. The opportunity to play with either Draisaitl or McDavid should be enough to make any free agent fill in Edmonton as a potential destination. The biggest roadblock in this kind of signing is cap space. The Oilers would need to trade someone away to clear up space to sign Kane. Patrick Kane.
