The arms race is heating up and it's all happening in the Central.

The Wild got things started acquiring Quinn Hughes from the Canucks, and has since then reasserted himself as one of the league's elite defenseman with an Olympic gold medal to show for it.

The Avs shored up their defense acquiring the steady Brett Kulak from the Pens, and then later added quality depth defenseman Nick Blankenburg from the Preds.

The Stars also dipped into the Canucks' pool, acquiring the Texas-born Tyler Myers and now have one of the most physically imposing defenses in the league.

On Wednesday, the Mammoth came out of nowhere to acquire Mac Weegar, who waived his no-trade clause and will try to help his new club earn a wild-card spot.

So, which defense do you think is best?

Avalanche:
Toews - Makar
Manson - Burns
Kulak - Malinski

Stars:
Lindell - Heiskanen
Harley - Lunkdvist
Bichsel - Myers

Wild:
Hughes - Faber
Brodin - Spurgeon
Middleton - Bogosian

Mammoth:
Sergachev - Durzi
Cole - Weegar
Schmidt - Marino
