No offense to the Sabres, but it does feel like losing to them can send a fanbase into a panic, especially a Cup contender.

The Oilers lost 5-1 on Monday in Buffalo, their second loss in three games and have not won in regulation since Oct. 28 against the Mammoth.

Connor McDavid arguably had the worst game of his career, but the Oilers cannot keep relying on him to win games every night. Zach Hyman's return has boosted their depth, but they continue to have problems in their own zone, making crisp passes and getting timely saves.

It begs the question: How much longer can the Oilers afford to be patient? They are not in danger of missing the playoffs, but their play has been very concerning considering they've been the Western Conference finalists for two straight seasons and it's possible McDavid leaves via free agency in a few seasons.

What move would you make to snap the Oilers out of their funk?
