With the deadline approaching for teams to make their roster selections for the upcoming Olympics, some difficult decisions will have to be made.

According to multiple sources, Canada is debating between the Isles' Matthew Schaefer or the Oilers' Evan Bouchard as their eighth defenseman.

One is a very talented potential franchise defenseman who has taken the league by storm but is short on experience, both in the pros and internationally, while the other is a veteran who's now been to two Stanley Cup Final but is much maligned for his careless defensive play.

Both defensemen's greatest asset is the ability to generate offense, but note Canada already has Cale Makar to lead the charge.

If you had to pick, who would you choose between Schaefer and Bouchard?
