The visiting Red Wings held a 2-1 lead against the Kings for much of the third period, and Marco Kasper's second goal of the season at 14:45 looked like it had sealed the deal. It would've been the Wings' third straight win.

But the Kings scored two goals in 40 seconds to force overtime, and the momentum had clearly shifted to the home side. They had dominated for much of the game and held a clear advantage in the shot share.

In overtime, Kevin Fiala's cut to the front of the net allowed him to put the puck past Cam Talbot. The Kings bench emptied to celebrate the comeback win, but the goal ended up getting overturned for goalie interference. Stuck again in a 3-3 tie, overtime solved nothing as the game went to a shootout.

In an ironic turn of events, Talbot ended up stopping Fiala on the Kings' last shootout attempt to secure their third straight win after Lucas Raymond scored earlier in round one.

Has there been a more bizarre finish to a game this season?
