For the fantasy hockey fanatic, there is no better time than draft season. Everyone's (hopefully) confident in their own lists, and it's also the chance to throw some compliments ("nice pick") or some barbs ("why?!") before the puck drops.
Nobody is immune to the occasional chirp, since the winners are only separated from the losers once the season begins.
In an article by Adam Proteau, he lists the top five phrases we hear every year. Despite being originally published in 2006, it's actually amazing how they're still all relevant today, perhaps no more than this gem:
" 'I don’t need a proven goal-tender to win this thing.' "
