On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Brady Skjei, NSH vs. DAL (47% rostered)
Skjei has racked up a goal and seven assists over his last 11 outings, with three of those eight points coming with the man advantage. On the year, after a very slow start, Skjei is up to 10 goals and 23 assists. Those numbers are a far cry from the 47 points he posted last season in Carolina, especially when you factor in his minus-23 rating this season compared to plus-15 in 2023-24. The saving grace is that he is closing 2024-25 somewhat strong.
Luca Cagnoni, SJ vs. EDM (1% rostered)
Cagnoni is riding the NHL-AHL shuffle, called up Monday, sent down Tuesday and possibly up Wednesday, I am including in this column on the expectation that he will be promoted and in the lineup versus the Oilers. Monday, Cagnoni notched his first power play assist, skating 2:58 of his 17:44 of ice time on the man-advantage. Consider this one a little bit of a flier with upside.
