On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Justin Faulk, STL at NSH (24% rostered)
The Preds are missing captain Roman Josi on their blue line and their goaltending has been subpar on season. Meanwhile, Faulk is on a three-game points streak, with three of his four points coming on the power play. The Blues offense is clicking right now with 12 goals in their past two games and Faulk’s their PP1 QB.
Tony DeAngelo, NYI at PIT (11% rostered)
Noah Dobson’s back up to speed and back on PP1, but it was also interesting to see DeAngelo as part of their top five-man unit as well. Interestingly enough, nine of DeAngelo’s 10 points this season have been scored at even strength, and the Isles’ league-worst power play doesn’t add much upside. Regardless, sharing the ice with the Isles’ best players is always a good thing, and even with Dobson’s return, DeAngelo’s ice time has remained steady. This is a rivalry matchup with the potential for goals, penalty minutes and plenty of hits.
Dylan Samberg, WPG at VAN (8% rostered)
Samberg has stepped up big time in Neal Pionk’s absence, scoring three points in his past two games and had a season-high five shots in Seattle in their previous game. The Canucks defense is very good but they’re routinely getting outshot, and against the Jets’ strong defense, they might get hemmed in their own zone a lot. Samberg’s offense is a big bonus right now since he usually provides only blocks and hits.
Artyom Levshunov, CHI vs. SEA (5% rostered)
Levshunov is the Hawks’ best prospect on their blue line and has recently supplanted Alex Vlasic as their PP1 QB. Levshunov is more green but possesses far more upside, and while he hasn’t shown much offense yet – one assist in three games – he’s still put six shots on goal and blocked seven. He can be a multi-category contributor in a matchup that should feature a few goals with the Kraken expected to start backup Philipp Grubauer.
