On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Zac Jones, NYR vs. WSH (0% rostered)
Jones has seamlessly stepped into the Rangers' lineup since Adam Fox was injured after being a press box denizen for almost two months straight. New York is deploying Jones on the third line at even strength but he is manning the point on the first power play unit. He skated 19:14 on Monday after being on the ice for 22:15 on Sunday and should continue to see major minutes while Fox is sidelined. Get on board if you have yet to do, and judging by his rostered percentage, that is nearly everyone.
Alex Vlasic, CHI vs. OTT (10% rostered)
Vlasic, already seeing major minutes, is expected to a see a rise in his ice time following the trade of Seth Jones to the Panthers. The increase should mainly occur on the first power play unit, as Vlasic takes Jones' spot on the point. Vlasic had six helpers over his last eight outings and has a chance to maintain his level of production now that is in a prime spot on the Chicago blue line.
Philip Broberg, STL @ LA (8% rostered)
Broberg continues to exceed expectations for the Blues. After a brief lull prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off, Broberg has picked up his scoring pace with four points (two goals, two assists) over his last four games. The 23-year-old is up to 21 points, 71 shots on net, 63 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating through 49 appearances in his first season for the Blues. Broberg's two-year, $9.16 million offer sheet contract he signed with the Blues last August is looking like a bargain.
