On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Anthony Cirelli, C, TB vs. CGY (48% rostered)

Perhaps playing with his country’s best at the 4 Nations provided a boost of confidence, but Cirelli has been very productive since his return, scoring two assists and five shots in two games. The Flames can be tough to score against when Dustin Wolf is in net, but the Lightning are rolling and they have the best offense in the league.

Patrik Laine, LW/RW, MTL vs. SJ (45% rostered)

Laine has been feasting with the Habs power play with three points in his past two games. The Habs offense has suddenly come alive with nine goals since the 4 Nations break, and they should have no problems scoring goals against the Sharks. Laine can be frustrating because he does little else outside the man advantage, but the Sharks are so defensively poor Laine should be able to take advantage still.

Logan Cooley, C, UTA vs. MIN (45% rostered)

A bit of a subdued return for Cooley in regards to ice time, playing 13:44 against the Canucks and 17:09 against the Hawks, but it hasn’t prevented him from recording a point in each game. He has the most offensive upside among Utah centers, and in his third game back should see his minutes tick upwards again. Hopefully, this time he also replaces Barrett Hayton on PP1.

Marco Rossi, C, MIN at UTA (42% rostered)

The Wild are excellent on the road (21-7-3) and Rossi’s a big reason for that averaging close to a point per game on the road (29 points in 31 games). With Joel Eriksson Ek out of the lineup, Rossi’s playing a big role and played 21:34 against the Wings, the most among Wild forwards as John Hynes leans heavily into his top line. He’s carrying a three-game goals streak into this matchup.

Matvei Michkov, RW, PHI at PIT (42% rostered)

That’s two straight multi-point games for Michkov, who had seven (!) shots and two assists in a 6-1 beatdown on their state rival. The Pens are at home this time and they should come out with a better effort, but the Flyers have a distinct advantage. Michkov should have no problems taking advantage of a poor defensive team with even poorer goaltending.

JJ Peterka, LW/RW, BUF at CAR (37% rostered)

Peterka has a goal and an assist since play resumed following the 4 Nations, and the Sabres offense has been dialled in. Meanwhile, the Canes are struggling to score and defend, getting outscored 10-3 in their past two games. Expected starter Pyotr Kochetkov has allowed at least three goals in three straight starts. Peterka plays both L1 and PP1 with Tage Thompson.

Dmitri Voronkov, LW, CBJ at DET (34% rostered)
Adam Fantilli, C, CBJ at DET (31% rostered)
Kent Johnson, C/LW/RW, CBJ at DET (23% rostered)
Boone Jenner, C/LW, CBJ at DET (21% rostered)

You know the drill. I’ve been singing the Jackets’ praises all season and scoring six goals against the Stars – one of the league’s best teams with an elite goalie – should erase further doubt. All four players managed to score a point, with Fantilli providing the most upside as their top center, while Voronkov and Johnson are good complementary scorers who play PP1 with Fantilli. Jenner’s fantasy profile is a little different – he provides a lot of hits and goals – and note he’s scored a point in every game since returning.

Teuvo Teravainen, LW/RW, CHI at VGK (15% rostered)

I’m not sure how the Hawks will respond to Seth Jones’ comments following an uglier-than-it-looks 2-1 loss to Utah, but I do think they’ll try to press for more offense. That puts Teravainen in the spotlight, who has eight points in his past six games. He’s a high-risk, high-reward play, however, since there have been games where Teravainen provides very little fantasy value since he’s not a high-volume shooter and does rely on the power play to score points.
