On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.
Noah Cates © Eric Hartline-Imagn ImagesNoah Cates, C/LW, PHI vs. NJ (3% rostered)
Cates saw his four-game point streak end Wednesday. That production came after a month-long drought which obviously adversely affected his point total. Despite that slump, Cates is still at a career-high 14 goals while adding 14 assists, 85 shots on net, 59 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 59 appearances. Philly is deploying Cates as their first-line center, boding well for him remaining productive.
Aliaksei Protas, C/LW, WSH vs. SEA (47% rostered)
It's somewhat surprising that despite Protas' solid production, his rostered percentage still remains below our 50% inclusion threshold. He has posted eight points (three goals, five assists) in eight games since the resumption of the league following 4 Nations Face-Off break. Protas has had a breakout campaign offensively this season, producing 25 goals and 29 helpers through 63 appearances while skating on the Capitals' top line.
Adam Lowry, C, WPG @ CAR (13% rostered)
Lowry, drafted in third round, 67 overall in 2011, has spent his whole career with the Jets, He mainly has been deployed in the bottom-six, skating as the team's third-line center this season. Lowry has goals in back-to-back games and is two points away from reaching the 30-point mark for the third consecutive season. He is on pace for a new career-high in points after posting 36 in the 2022-23 campaign.
Tanner Pearson, LW, LV vs LA (0% rostered)
Pearson has notched a goal and an assist in two straight contests while skating on the top line in Vegas in place of the injured Victor Olofsson. The four points have upped Pearson's season marks to 11 goals, 23 points, 83 shots on net, 80 hits and a plus-7 rating through 59 appearances. Pearson may just be in the role as a placeholder but as long as he remains productive, he could get an extended run in the spot.
Pius Suter, C/LW, VAN vs. DAL (2% rostered)
Suter is a depth forward for the Canucks but one who sees more ice time that your usual bottom-six player. He's earned four points over seven contests since the 4 Nations Face-Off break skating as Vancouver's third-line center. Suter, a unrestricted free agent after the season, is now up to 29 points over 61 appearances, matching his scoring output from 67 regular-season outings a year ago.
Sam Colangelo © Simon Fearn-Imagn ImagesSam Colangelo, RW, ANA vs. NYI (0% rostered)
Colangelo, a second round pick, 36 overall on 2020, scored for the third straight game Friday. He has fund palpable chemistry skating with Mason McTavish and Carter Gauthier on Anaheim's third line. The four points in those three contests has Colangelo up to five points, 23 shots on net, 36 hits and a minus-5 rating across 17 appearances this season. Take advantage of his line deployment as he looks to remain hot.
