Dallas is locked in as the Central Division's second seed, so there is little reason to play Jake Oettinger in this one. As such, look for DeSmith to be between the pipes versus Nashville after Oettinger started Monday. DeSmith is 0-2-1 with 15 goals allowed over his last three games after going 2-0-`1 in his prior three contests, though he's faced at least 32 shots in each of his last six outings. The "slump" has DeSmith down to 14-8-2 with a 2.63 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage over 26 outings. Facing a Predators team that has thrown in the towel by going 2-8-0 in their last 10 games, DeSmith has more than a good chance to notch a victory.
