Several teams are on the tail ends of back-to-back contests. In many cases, the starting netminder is less than an appealing option. Tarasov, however, does not fall into that category. In fact, you can argue that he has been better than the starter, Elvis Merzlikins, lately. Tarasov hasn't given up more than three goals in an appearance since Jan. 23, posting a 2.50 goals-against average (GAA) and .913 save percentage over his last six outings. He gets the nod with Columbus six points back of the second Wild Card spot with seven games remaining. Facing Ottawa though, Tarasov has a tough task in net.
Cam Talbot, DET vs. FLA (42% rostered)
Talbot remained hot on Friday, winning on Friday to go 2-1-1 in his last four contests. During that stretch, he's allowed just seven goals on 113 shots. With Petr Mrazek (head) sidelined and Alex Lyon struggling, Talbot is confirmed to be between the pipes Sunday. Overall, he's 19-17-4 with a .902 save percentage and 2.92 GAA on the season. Florida is in a little bit of a tailspin, making Talbot a solid option to notch a victory.
