With only four games on the docket and heavily-rostered starters between the pipes in most contests, not many options remain. Dostal, despite his recent struggles, gets the tap on the shoulder for today's column. Dostal took a third loss in a row (0-2-1) Sunday, and he's allowed 13 goals on 81 shots in that span. That rough patch has dropped his season marks to 20-19-6, with a 2.99 goals-against average and .907 save percentage over a career-high 45 appearances. . John Gibson is healthy again after a lower-body injury that kept him out for much of March, so Dostal will likely be sharing the crease moving forward. But Dostal is clearly the future in net for Anaheim. Against a Boston team with their own issues, the Ducks and Dostal certainly stand a strong chance of notching a victory.
