Detroit has lost four games in a row and sit on the outside looking in to the playoff hunt. In addition, Talbot is in the midst of a skid, as has given up four goals in four of his last six starts, going 2-3-1 over that stretch with a sub-par 3.51 goals-against average (GAA) and .863 save percentage. Overall, Talbot, who is on his fourth team in his last four seasons, is 17-12-3 with a 2.92 GAA and .902 save percentage. The Red Wings need the early-season Talbot to have a shot at the post-season. Facing the East leading Capitals, a win will be difficult, but he hopefully will notch a lot of saves.
Connor Ingram, UTAH @ CHI (28% rostered)
Utah has turned to Karel Vejmelka between the pipes the last five straight games. The "Hockey Club" played Thursday, which likely means that Ingram will be in net Friday.. Vejmelka inked a five-year, $23.75 million contract Wednesday while Ingram is finishing the second season of the three-year, $5.85 million contract he signed with the Coyotes in June of 2023. Ingram gets the "easier" of the two matchups, giving him a decent shot at a win with solid ancillary stats.
Lukas Dostal, ANA vs. STL (41% rostered)
As of press time, John Gibson is still a member of the Ducks. Even if Gibson, who left Wednesday's game with a lower body injury following a collision, remains with the team past Friday's trade deadline, Dostal is the top goalie in Anaheim now and in the future. Dostal has an 18-14-5 record with a 2.87 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 38 games, improving his numbers for the second straight season. He has a good change at a win with the Ducks playing better lately.
