Mikhail Sergachev, UTAH @ NYI (95% rostered) - FanDuel $6,100
Sergachev just chugs along in Utah. He broke a 10-game goal drought Tuesday, though he still was productive during that stretch, notching six assists. Sergachev is the clear top blueliner for the Mammoth, who remain in playoff contention despite their recent skid. He's at five goals, 26 points, 86 shots on net, 72 blocked shots, 21 hits, 24 PIM and a minus-8 rating through 40 appearances.
Simon Edvinsson, DET @ PIT (19% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800
Edvinsson is not a big-time scoring defensemen, as his value is greater in leagues that utilize the ancillary categories. He has earned two goals and five assists over 14 outings in December, upping his season marks to five tallies and nine helpers in 37 contests, so he has produced offensively. But when you add in 22:06 of ice time/game, 47 hits and 71 blocked shots, you get a better sense as to his value, as he contributes across the board.
Erik Karlsson, PIT vs. DET (86% rostered) - FanDuel $5,600
Pittsburgh has fallen out of a playoff spot with their recent scuffle but remain right near the cut line. GM Kyle Dubas has shown he will be aggressive in the trade market in an attempt to improve the team. Karlsson notched a pair of assists Tuesday and is on pace to reach the 50-point plateau if he stays healthy, as he has 28 points (three goals, 25 assists) in 38 games this season. He has posted 11 of those 28 points on the man-advantage, which adds to his value.
