On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy hockey managers to stream, roster or utilize in standard leagues and/or DFS games. Players and goalies highlighted for streaming in standard leagues are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues.
Vincent Trocheck, C, NYR vs. NJ (64% rostered) - FanDuel $6,200
Trocheck, scratched before the trade deadline for "roster management" purposes, was not dealt to another team. Rather than sulking, Trocheck has upped his game, notching a pair of goals along with six games in the six games since the deadline. Trocheck has Will Cuylle on his left and JT Miller now on his right on a newly-created second line. He has 14 goals, 47 points (15 on the power play), 93 shots on net, 154 hits, 50 PIM, 42 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating over 52 appearances.
Drake Batherson, LW/RW, OTT @ WSH (89% rostered) - FanDuel $6,400
Batherson doesn't generate a lot of publicly and focus, all he does is produce. He has four, multi-goal games in his last eight contests and is up to 27 goals and 59 points in 63 contests. Batherson one tally away from tying his career high of 28 from the 2023-24 season and one point away from his fourth straight 60-point campaign. Consistent production wins fantasy leagues and DFS contests.
Jamie Benn, C/LW/RW, DAL @ COL (20% rostered) - FanDuel $4,800
The Stars sit just three points behind the Avalanche, who have a game in hand, in the Central Division with the two teams meeting tonight. Benn comes into the contest on a bit of a tear, contributing to Dallas narrowing the gap. Since January 29, the Stars' captain notched seven goals and added nine assists in his last 14 games and sits just 14 points shy of 1,000 for his career.
Leo Carlsson, C, ANA vs. PHI (76% rostered) - FanDuel $6,900
Carlsson, sidelined with a thigh injury from January 10 that forced him to miss the Olympics, picked right back from where he was prior to the injury. His two goals and an assist Sunday gave the young center 11 points (five goals, six assists) over his last 11 outings. Each goal and assist adds to his career-high in each category, which is up to 23 and 32, respectively, in 55 contests.
