On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Alexis Lafreniere, LW/RW, NYR @ TB (20% rostered) - FanDuel $3,800
Very quietly, Lafreniere - who is one of the favorite whipping boys of the Rangers' fanbase - has found his game. He has been much more aggressive on the forecheck and now benefits from the return of his center, Vincent Trocheck, who came back Monday after missing 14 games, and Artemi Panarin to his line. Laf potted a power play goal and added two assists against the Predators and has two goals and eight points over the last seven contests.
Brandon Hagel, LW/RW, TB vs. NYR (96% rostered) - FanDuel $5,400
Remember when Hagel notched just one assist his first seven games and his fantasy teams were up in arms. Well, Hagel has completely flipped the switch his past eight contests, tallying seven goals and six assists with three of those points coming on the man advantage. Tampa paid a hefty price in 2022 to acquire Hagel, but seeing his progression from 64 to 75 and then 90 points coupled with a Stanley Cup makes that cost more than palatable.
Travis Konecny, LW/RW, PHI vs. EDM (90% rostered) - FanDuel $5,600
Konecny has increased is production each of the past four seasons, going from 34 to 76 points. He got off to a bit of a slow start, notching just a goal and three assists his first eight contests of the season. In the past seven games, Konecny has found his form, lighting the lamp four times with five helpers skating on the second line. Philly is getting production from all three lines, taking the pressure off Konecny and others but also making it slightly easier for him to get favorable matchups.
Travis Konecny, LW/RW, CHI vs. NJ (42% rostered) - FanDuel $4,500
Bertuzzi is on a heater. Seven goals the past five games, six the last three, and his slow start with two markers his first 10 appearances of the season a faded memory. Skating alongside Connor Bedard has most certainly been a boon for Bertuzzi, who could chase the 30-goal mark for the first time since the 2021-22 campaign. Roll with Bertuzzi while he is hot.
