Horvat on a heater after seeing his production decline the last two seasons

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.

Matthew Wood, RW, NSH vs. PIT (4% rostered) - FanDuel $2,900
Wood, a first round pick in 2023, 15th overall, has been one of the few bright spots in a disappointing start to the season for Nashville. He notched his first career hat trick Monday against the Rangers and six markers and three assists his last seven games. Wood is skating on the the third line but is deployed on the first power play unit, where he has notched half of the 10 points he has posted to date.

Jake DeBrusk, LW, VAN @ CAR (22% rostered) - FanDuel $4,700
DeBrusk has scored in three straight games and four of the last five with three of those tallies coming on the power play. The last four seasons, DeBrusk has notched between 40 and 50 points, posting 20+ goals in three of those seasons. DeBrusk is in the second season of the  seven-year, $38.5 million contract he signed with the Canucks in July of 2024 so he will be part of the Vancouver attack for a while,

Matvei Michkov, RW, PHI @ STL (63% rostered) - FanDuel $3,900
Michkov's slow start has resulted in both his rostered percentage and DFS price dropping along with his minutes per game. He has shown signs of finding his form, scoring in three straight games, upping his season marks to four markers and five assists in 16 contests. That production is a far cry from what Michkov posted as a rookie, when he notched 63 points in 80 games. Buy low with the hope that he is back on the beam.

    Bo Horvat, C, NYI @ UTAH (88% rostered) - FanDuel $7,500
Horvat is red-hot, He already has 12 goals, almost half of last year's total, and eight assists in 16 games. Horvat fell from 70 points in 2022-23 to 68 the following season and 57 last campaign. Horvat's 20.8 per cent shooting percentage will fall but he should compensate for that decline by upping his helper production. Hold onto Horvat as he should continue to post points for the Isles.
