Necas Racking Up Points for Colorado

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.

Brock Boeser, RW, VAN @ TB (41% rostered) - FanDuel $4,400
Boeser is on a bit of a heater, notching four goals and three assists his last six contests. On the year, Boeser has posted eight markers and five apples in 13 contests. Boeser's strong start is in direct contract to his rough 2024-25 campaign, when he fell from 73 to 50 points. The veteran right winger is in the first season of the seven-year, $50.75 million contract he signed with the Canucks this past July.

Ryan Hartman, C/RW, MIN vs. LV (5% rostered) - FanDuel $4,400
The loss of Marco Rossi to a lower-body injury for at least week created a hole at top line center for the Wild. Stepping in initially to fill the breach is Hartman, who has moved up and down the lineup in the past. Hartman is skating between Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello and notched an assist on Minnesota's first goal Saturday. Joel Eriksson Ek will see time on the first line as well, but if Hartman gets off to a hot start, he can keep the role at least until Rossi returns.

Vincent Trocheck, C, NYR vs. DET (66% rostered) - FanDuel $5,000
Trocheck's return after missing 14 games kickstarted the Rangers offense his first two contests back. New York tallied 13 goals in those two games with Trocheck notching a pair of goals and assists. Trocheck had a career-best season in 2023-24with 25 goals and 52 assists, but like many of the Blueshirts, his performance fell off last season. Trocheck was injured in the second contest of the season but is back between Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere.

Martin Necas, RW, COL vs. NYI (98% rostered) - FanDuel $6,900
Necas benefitted from the trade that sent him from Carolina to Colorado, finishing with 27 goals and 56 assists in 79 contests. He and the Avalanche finally reached agreement in October on an eight-year, $92 million contract extension. Necas is on pace to set career-highs across the board, tallying 12 markers and as many helpers in 18 contests, skating on the team's top line with Nathan MacKinnon and Artturi Lehkonen.
