Oliver Kapanen and Quinton Byfield Solid Options Monday

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.

Jackson Blake, RW, CAR @ BOS (11% rostered) - FanDuel XX
Blake is quietly productive for the Hurricanes, notching four goals and nine assists in 18 games. He is skating as the second line right wing next to Logan Stankoven and Nikolaj Ehlers, seeing two minutes-plus more of ice time compared to last season. Blake started his ascent late in 2024-25, carrying that uptick in production into the playoffs. He is building off that success this season.

Jake DeBrusk, LW/RW, VAN @ FLA (26% rostered) - FanDuel XX
With four goals in his last six games, including three contests in a row prior to being shutout Friday, DeBrusk now has six markers in 19 contests on the season. DeBrusk posted 25, 27, 19 and 28 tallies the past four seasons and should top 20 goals again in 2025-26. Vancouver is deploying him anywhere in the top-nine, though he benefits more when he skates on the top-six or first line.

Quinton Byfield, C, LA @ WAS (79% rostered) - FanDuel XX
Q posted 55 and 54 points, respectively, the past two seasons. His 2023-24 output was viewed as his breakout season, while last season was mildly disappointing coming off his prior campaign. Byfield is on a bit of run, notching has five points in his last three games and is up to 17 points through 19 games this season. He is the team's second line center and could be the #1 pivot when Anze Kopitar retires following the season.

Oliver Kapanen, C, MTL @ CLM (2% rostered) - FanDuel XX
Montreal's forwards have become an infirmary. Already without Patrik Laine, the Canadiens lost Alex Newhook for months with a fractured ankle and Kirby Dach for 4-6 weeks with a fractured foot the past few days. Someone will need to step up with Kapanen a strong candidate now that he is centering the team's second line. Kapanen has six goals and four assists in 18 games, though he has hot the scoresheet in just of his last eight contests.

Bennett Sennecke, RW, ANA vs. UTAH (8% rostered) - FanDuel XX
Sennecke, as expected by a rookie, has had his ups-and-downs. Despite that inconsistent play. Sennecke, the third pick overall in 2024, has shown signs of being a productive winger, notching six goals and as many assists in 18 games. He is being deployed as the team's second line right winger, skating with Chris Kreider and Mason McTavish. Roll with Sennecke for as long as the Ducks do.
