Moved to the second line, Ostlund looks to build off strong game Monday
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Alex Ovechkin, LW, WAS vs. EDM (96% rostered) - FanDuel $6,500
Ovi, after a fallow period, looks back on the beam. He has three goals and five points in his last four games after experiencing a four-game point drought near the end of October. Ovechkin has six goals, 15 points, 44 shots on net and 36 hits through 19 games this year, down from the 44 tallies and 29 assists he notched as a 39-year-old winger. His production this season may ebb-and-flow but he has a chance at hitting the 30-goal mark once again.
Noah Ostlund, C, BUF vs. CGY (0% rostered) - FanDuel $2,800
Ostlund, moved up to the top-six, has the best game of his brief NHL career, lighting the lamp twice Monday. Drafted 16th overall in 2022, Ostlund has three goals and five points in the last seven games as he begins to get comfortable in the league. His value is somewhat dependent on his line placement. If he remains on the second unit, Ostlund should have a legitimate chance of producing.
Beckett Sennecke, RW, ANA vs. BOS (9% rostered) - FanDuel $4,000
Sennecke earned a roster spot out of training camp and has shown that decision was wise. He had a solid first month but really has found his way in November. In nine contests, Sennecke has three goals and five assists to up his season marks to six and seven, respectively, in 19 games. Sennecke is a relative fixture on the Ducks' second line, skating with Mason McTavish and Cutter Gauthier, a unit that could easily be a first trio.
