On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Connor Bedard, C, CHI @ BUF (100% rostered) - FanDuel $8,000
Bedard came into Thursday's contest on an absolute roll. He notched a hat trick Tuesday and has posted 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) and 40 shots on goal across his prior 10 games. Overall, Bedard was at 13 tallies and 16 helpers in 19 contests after posting 61 and 67 points, respectively, his first two campaigns in the league. Bedard is living up to the hype that made him the first overall selection in the 2023 draft.
Matthew Boldy, LW/RW, MIN @ PIT (100% rostered) - FanDuel $7,400
Boldy extended his point streak to five games Wednesday with the first shorthanded tally of his career. The goal and point gave Boldy, 11 goals, 22 points, 70 shots on net, 13 hits, 14 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 21 appearances. Boldy has become a superstar, increasing his point production from 39 to 63, then 69 and finally 73 points last season. He may actually be underpaid in the third season of the seven-year, $49 extension he signed in January 2023.
Jackson Blake, RW, CAR @ WPG (13% rostered) - FanDuel $5,500
Blake is heavily under-rostered at just 13 per cent compared to his production, The 22-year-old winger has three goals and four helpers over his last eight outings. For the season, Blake, who is skating on Carolina's second line, is up to six goals, 15 points, 49 shots, 14 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 20 appearances. He posted 34 points in 80 contests as a rookie; with 15 points already, he is well on his way to far exceeding that mark.
Morgan Geekie, C/LW/RW, BOS @ LA (82% rostered) - FanDuel $6,600
It's time to stop thinking Geekie is exceeding expectations and recalibrate what our expectations are and should be. Geekie scored twice Wednesday, which at the time tied him with Nathan MacKinnon for the league lead in goals with 14 (Mac scored Thursday to retake the lead). Add in six assists and Geekie has 20 points in 22 contests after notching a career-best 57 points last season. Boston stole him from Seattle and Geekie has blossomed into a first line scorer.
