On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are usually rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.
Danila Yurov, C/RW, MIN @ NJ (1% rostered) - FanDuel $3,500
Yurov's inclusion is predicated on Marco Rossi missing his second straight game. Monday, Yurov centered the third line, scoring his first career NHL goal while skating a career-high 10:39 on ice. a larger key was Yurov, selected 24 in 2022, seeing second unit power play duty with 1:44 of his ice time coming on the man-advantage. If that happens again, he has a shot to hit the scoresheet.
Emmitt Finnie, C/LW, DET @ BUF (16% rostered) - FanDuel $n/a
Finnie, a seventh-round pick in 2023, opened eyes in training camp, earning a spot on the parent club roster. Through six games, he has not been overwhelmed, even while skating on Detroit's top line. Finnie notched his first goals of the season and career Sunday but that doesn't even tell the first story. He also has already added three assists and 21 hits in his six contests, showing he can be an across-the-board contributor.
Zach Benson, LW, BUF vs. DET (30% rostered) - FanDuel $4,700
Benson, who missed the first three games of the season with a facial injury, has scored in all three contests since returning to the lineup. He has yet to light the lamp but has six helpers in those three games with two of the apples coming on the power play. Benson has not been shy about firing the puck, putting 11 shots on net, meaning a breakthrough in that regard should be forthcoming shortly.
Nick Suzuki, C, MTL vs. CGY (99% rostered) - FanDuel $7,300
If you need an assist maven and a player on a point-scoring streak, might I interest you in Mr. Suzuki. He has a six-game point streak going after being held scoreless in the Canadiens' opener, piling up a goal and 10 points during his heater with a plus-9 rating. Suzuki has increased his offensive production each of the last four seasons and looks primed early to make it five.
