On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues and/or for daily fantasy games.

Bo Horvat, C, NYI @ PHI (74% rostered) - FanDuel $7,200
Horvat is off to a red-hot start for the Islanders, who have won four games in a row. He stretched his point streak to four contests and seven points (five goals, two assists) with a pair of helpers Thursday. Horvar leads the Isles with nine points (five goals, four assists; 26 shots) in seven games and his fine start could help reverse his recent trend, as his point-production has declined each of the past two campaigns.
Owen Tippett, LW/RW, PHI vs. NYI (43% rostered) - FanDuel $6,000
Tippett has posted three straight campaigns of at least 20 goals, though his output declined from 55 to 43 points last season. He is off to a solid start to the season - at least in terms of lighting the lamp -notching five goals on just 21 starts in seven contests. Tippett, though, has yet to notch an assist, given him a great won-loss record but not a balanced scoresheet. Skating as the top line left wing, Tippett is one of the primary scoring options for Philly.
Morgan Geekie, C/LW/RW, BOS vs. COL (59% rostered) - FanDuel $5,000
Geekie is showing that his significant breakthrough 2024-25 campaign was no fluke. He lit the lamp twice Thursday, giving Geekie three goals his last two contests and five in seven games for the season. Geekie, skating to the left of Elias Lindholm and David Pastrnak, has seven points and 20 hits in nine games, displaying a well-rounded game for the Bruins and his fantasy teams.
Cutter Gauthier, LW, ANA @ TB (54% rostered) - FanDuel $6,300
Gauthier, profiled by Jason Chen on Wednesday, gets his second straight bold treatment. He has skated on the top line with Chris Kreider (illness) sidelined, tallying a goal in both contests. Gauthier is up to five markers and an assist in six contests. Even when Kreider returns, Gauthier should continue to see solid minutes on the second line and power play unit for the Ducks.
Josh Doan, RW, BUF @ TOR (26% rostered) - FanDuel $4,600
Doan, brought over to Buffalo from Utah as a key piece of the JJ Peterka, has been on a smidge of heater for the crossed swords. He's notched six points, all of which have been posted in the past four contests. Through seven outings overall, the 23-year-old winger has compiled 22 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-1 rating filling a second-line left wing role for the Sabres.
Brad Marchand, LW/RW, FLA vs. LV (89% rostered) - FanDuel $6,400
Marchand, in his first full season in Florida, has stepped up his game to help the Cats manage the absences of Aleksander Barkov (knee) and Matthew Tkachuk (hernia). The Rat has two consecutive two-point games (two goals, two assists) and 10 points (five goals, five assists) in nine games to lead the Panthers in scoring. Marchand now sits just 10 points away from the century mark in his likely Hall of Fame career.
Nick Schmaltz, C/RW, UTAH @ MIN (77% rostered) - FanDuel $6,600
Schmaltz is off to a Mammoth start. His tally Thursday gave the winger four goals and eight assists during his current four-game point streak. On the season, Schmaltz, who posted a career-best 63 points in 2024-25, is up to five markers and eight apples in just eight contests. Utah has an extremely talented top-six, so the scoring may be spread out, slowing Schmaltz's scoring pace, but he is a fairly good bet to top his prior season production.
Emmitt Finnie, C/LW, DET vs. STL (37% rostered) - FanDuel n/a
Finnie continued his hot play Wednesday, notching his third goal of the season. That tally extended Finnie's point streak to three games and five points, giving the 20-year-old three markers and four apples in eight contests. In addition, Finnie has more than shown he is willing to play physical hockey, dishing out 23 hits while skating on the Red Wings' top line.
Dmitri Voronkov, LW, CLM @ PIT (18% rostered) - FanDuel $4,500
Voronkov took a step forward last season, going from 34 to 47 points. His early-start to 2025-26 campaign has him on pace to easily exceed that total. Voronkov has three goals and as many helpers in six games, skating on Columbus' top line. He signed a two-year, $8.35 million contract with the Blue Jackets in July and could be set for a big payday in the future if he continues his upward progression.
David Perron, LW/RW, OTT @ WAS (2% rostered) - $4,200
After an extremely slow start to the 2025-26 season, Perron has started to find his game. He has a pair of goals and an assist his last four contests, helping Ottawa withstand the absence of Brady Tkachuk (hand). Perron is no longer the physical force he was with the Blues but he still plays a similar style of game and is a nice fill-in while Tkachuk is sidelined.
Alex Newhook, C, MTL @ VAN (1% rostered) - $3,700
Newhook has tallied between 26 and 34 points the past four seasons. A first round pick, 16th overall by Colorado in 2019, his game has not taken off to the level thought when he was first drafted. Newhook has become a fine third-line player who chips in occasionally offensively. Right now, he is hot up with two goals and three assists over his last three outings, making him a worthwhile short-term add.
Alex Laferriere, C/RW, LA @ NAS (8% rostered) - FanDuel $4,400
Laferriere went from 23 to 42 points last season The 23-year-old has gotten a look on the top line recently while Anze Kopitar (foot) is sidelined, notching his first goal of the season Tuesday. Laferriere is not a true center but skating between Andrei Kuzmenko and Adrian Kempe should provide him an opportunity succeed and potentially thrive.
Berkly Catton, C/LW, SEA v. EDM (1% rostered) - FanDuel $3,600
Catton, selected with the eighth overall pick in the 2024 draft, made his NHL debut Monday, notching an assist. He has been held off the scoresheet the past two contests but has remained on Seattle's first line. Catton compiled 38 goals and 109 points across 57 regular-season games with WHL Spokane in 2024-25 before adding 11 tallies and 31 assists in 20 playoff outings, displaying the offensive talent that led the Kraken to call him up. Catton can play six more games before he has to be returned to juniors or remain with the parent club, making him worth a look.
